We are in South Dakota folks, and I am now caught up with the blog. I am finding that many campgrounds do not have internet access. Tomorrow we should be in Sturgis...at least that is the plan. So far the backs are good, the butts not too sore, and the sunburns are mild.
A few stops along the way to find a replacement air mattress since one is now defective, and some new goggles. More sterno fuel for cooking with and some stuff to do the laundry. We are in the Super * Motel in Watertown, just across the border.
The views were better today, a crop duster across the plains, a majestic lone bull on the hill over looking the road. I could see Jerry and Leroy in in my rearview mirror so long I decided it was worthy of a photo...come on Mom, we were only doing 60 mph when I snapped that photo.
We are seeing more bikers, and we got lucky and got to the hotel before a swarm of them pulled in. Yes, we got to the washer and dryer first. The guys bought me pizza for being the camp cook, and for washing the clothes. I did volunteer.
Everyone is having a great time, and the bikes are running great. We plan to find a campground in Custer State Park for a couple of days and ride the area before the rally starts. That way we can get our Sturgis experience, and get out before it gets crazy. I will update the blog as soon as possible. Hang tough.
Enjoyed the blog so far! Keep writing and posting pictures. Wish we were with you!
